Joint PostDoc Opening with Gene Myers team at MPI-CSBD

Postdoc Opening in Dresden, Germany; Center for Systems Biology Dresden (CSBD) and Computer Vision Lab Dresden (CVLD)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team of researchers in Dresden working in the field of Computational Biology, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning. The candidate must have a PhD pertaining to Medical Imaging, Bio Imaging, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning. Publications at top international conferences and journals are necessary. The candidate should be highly motivated and interested in exploring the field of Bio Image Analysis. It is not necessary, but a plus, if the candidate has a background in Computational Biology. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Machine Learning and Optimization (ideally on structured models/ graphical models). Good programming skills are also important. The exact research topic depends on the candidate’s interest and background, but will be in the broad field of Bio Imaging, such as tracking, registration, segmentation, or de-convolution. While solving a practical application, the student will use and extend the latest techniques from machine learning and computer vision, such as deep learning and graphical models. The PostDoc will be jointly guided by Prof. Gene Myers and Prof. Carsten Rother. More information can be found on our webpages:
